LHU Youth Union joined hands to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival

On the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival 2014 (which falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month), LHU Youth Union in cooperation with Dong Nai provincial Youth Union and local universities and colleges joined hands to bring joy and present Mid-Autumn gifts to children, particularly the underprivileged ones in Thong Nhat and Xuan Loc districts.

Attending the “Full moon” festival were Vice Secretary of Dong Nai provincial Youth Union Bui Thi Bich Thuy, Vice Secretary of LHU Youth Union Tran Tien and many other comrades.

Vice Secretary of Dong Nai provincial Youth Union Bui Thi Bich Thuy gave Mid-Autumn gifts to poor children.

At the festival, 1,000 gifts including moon cakes and lanterns raised by local universities, colleges and benefactors were presented to poor children. Children also enjoyed special performances such as lion dances, singing and dramas at Xuan Loc district's Children’s House.

Also to mark the occasion, Faculties' Youth Union of LHU held various activities to bring joyful Mid-Autumn Festival to children. Specifically, Finance and Accounting Faculty's Youth Union organized "Full Moon" for children of employees who are working at Nhon Trach Industrial Zone, Dong Nai province. Pharmacy Faculty's Youth Union in association with Buu Long ward's People's Committee and Youth Union held Mid-Autumn Festival for local children. International Business Administration Faculty's Youth Union held "Compassionate Moon" program and presented 200 gifts including 20 gifts for poor households and 180 for children, workers and old people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
