On January 9, LHU has officially received ABET accreditations (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) for the two training programs: Information Engineering Technology and Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology.
ABET accredits two LHU training programs: Information Engineering Technology and Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology
This is a significant achievement after more than 3 years LHU has carried out ABET quality assessment since winning the AUN-QA accreditation in 2019. During this process, the University has received the great support from the BUILD-IT project as well as the dedicated guidance from experts from the United States to help LHU gradually perfect its training programs, innovate evaluation and testing methods, especially outcome standard measurement.
By October 2022, LHU had successfully completed its ABET quality accreditation process with no weaknesses. In particular, the University's ABET self-study report was selected to display and introduce to other units for reference.
From the valuable experience learned during the ABET accreditation process, LHU has continued to improve its outcome standard measurement system and successfully developed specialized software. To date, the software has been applied to measure the training programs' outcome standards.
Being recognized as ABET accreditation stands as a testament that LHU's training quality has met international standards, creating favorable conditions for graduates to get better job opportunities. Specifically, graduates from ABET-accredited programs will get their degrees recognized internationally, increasing their employment and settlement opportunities in many countries, especially the US.
