The Center of Foreign Languages and Informatics was established on December 31, 2011 following the Decision No. 810/QĐ/ĐHLH signed by the Rector, by merging two centers: Lac Hong TOEIC Testing and Training and Technical and Cultural Fostering.
Based on the Decision No. 940/QĐ-ĐHLH dated November 1st, 2018 issued by the Rector, the Center of Foreign Languages and Informatics has following functions:
1. The Center of Foreign Languages and Informatics is an affiliated unit of LHU, in charge of training and fostering Foreign Languages and Informatics.
2. The Center is the only unit assigned to train, foster, and improve levels of Foreign Languages and Informatics for students, officials, lecturers, staff and others according to the Ministry of Education and Training's regulations.
3. Organize the implementation of service activities in order to meet the requirements of Foreign Languages and Informatics training and fostering for organizations and individuals inside and outside the University.
4. Carry out other tasks under the direction of the Rector.
Responsibilities
Advise to develop operational plans, class opening plan of the center to meet the needs of learners in the integration period, submit them to the Rector for approval.
a. Train and foster Foreign Languages and Informatics.
- Organize the implementation of training, testing and granting certificates according to Foreign Languages and Informatics output standards for students.
- Organize fostering courses to improve Foreign Languages and Informatics levels for officials, lecturers and employees.
b. Organize the implementation of educational programs:
- English Language according to the MOET's regulations
- Chinese Language, Korean Language, Japanese Language
- Informatics (basic and advanced IT applications)
- Other Foreign Languages and Informatics fostering programs
c. Organize service activities
- Train and foster Foreign Languages and Informatics under contracts for individuals and organizations inside and outside the University.
d. Participate in training, science and technology activities according to the University's general plan.
đ. Make reports and statistics according to current regulations.
e. Manage the Center's finance in accordance with the law and the University's regulations.
g. Manage, use assigned assets, make proposals for the asset supplement and repairs to ensure work requirements.
h. Coordinate with affiliated units to well perform its tasks and the University's missions.
i. Carry out other tasks assigned by the Rector.

The Foreign Languages and Informatics Center currently has 10 staff and nearly 100 experienced lecturers in Foreign Languages and Informatics.
