Dr. Do Thi Lan Dai - Chairwoman of the University Council; Dr. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector; Vice Rectors; faculty leaders, representatives of affiliated units, lecturers, staff, students, alumni, representatives of high schools, and representatives of many business partners,... attended the ceremony. This special event marks an important turning point in the 20-year journey of the Faculty's construction and development, is an opportunity for all members to look back on the achievements of the Faculty; an opportunity for former lecturers to recall their teaching memories; an opportunity for alumni to visit their lecturers and friends and an opportunity for the Faculty to show gratitude to individuals and groups who have been collaborating and supporting the Faculty during the past 20 years.
At the ceremony, Dr. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector delivered a congratulatory speech on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. He also acknowledged the efforts and contributions of lecturers and students to the overall development of the University.

Also at the event, the Faculty of Oriental Studies expressed its gratitude to the University leaders, former leaders of the Faculty, departments and agencies,...; at the same time recognized and praised the contributions of lecturers, experts, sponsors, business partners,... who have significantly contributed to the Faculty's 20-year development journey.
The Faculty of Oriental Studies also received scholarships and sponsorship worth more than 1,1 billion VND from organizations and businesses. Most of the scholarships were given to the Faculty’s disadvantaged students.
Beside a warm and solemn ceremony, at the school ground, the Faculty organized a series of various activities with separate spaces representing each department; folk games areas; food stalls with typical dishes in China, Japan and Korea, attracting more than 1,000 students including ones from other faculties.
With its determination and solidarity, the Faculty of Oriental Studies aims to become a leading training unit in the field of Chinese, Japanese and Korean applied languages and cultures in Vietnam by 2030, and a bright spot in training Vietnamese language and culture for foreigners. "The Faculty of Oriental Studies will start a new path with many new achievements" as stated by Dr. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector.
