On November 24, 2023, the Department of Japanese Studies under the Faculty of Oriental Studies, LHU successfully organized the 1st "Ring the Golden Bell" contest, attracting the enthusiastic participation of 50 contestants at all levels. This dramatic competition brought all the attendees joyful and memorable moments.

The contest saw the presence of Ms. Tran Thi Gai - Department Head, Ms. Dong Thi Thu Ha - Lecturer, Ms. Nakamaru Sawako - Japanese expert and many other lecturers who gave their strong support and motivation to the contestants.

The Golden Bell Ringing Contest is an intellectual playground not only providing students the opportunity to show their abilities and knowledge of Japanese culture, history, and people,... but also enhancing student-lecturer relationships, creating memorable experiences during their studies at the University.
The contest's questions revolved around Japanese history, culture, listening comprehension, reading comprehension, and kanji recognition skills from N5 to N2.
