On November 10 morning, two Lao students from LHU competed in the Vietnamese Speech Contest (preliminary round in the Southern region) taking place at the VNU-HCM University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The Vietnamese Speech Contest for foreign students organized by the Ministry of Education and Training was held for the first time on a nationwide scale.
The preliminary round of the Southern region saw the competition of 13 teams representing international students studying at universities and colleges in the Southern provinces and cities.

With the theme "Vietnam in me", Lao students majoring in Pharmacist from LHU presented their understanding about the personality of Vietnamese people in the contest.
The Organizers awarded one Promising, one First, two Second, three Third and six Consolation prizes to 13 participating teams.
This is the first time LHU has participated in the Vietnamese rhetoric competition and won a Consolation prize.
