Workshop on Applications of Microbiology in Environmental Treatment

The Faculty of Food Science and Engineering, LHU in collaboration with 7 businesses on November 11 organized an online workshop themed "Microbiological Applications in Environmental Treatment" to spread environmental protection and sustainable development.

The seven businesses were Microbiology And Environment Technology Joint Stock Company (MITECOM), Sonadezi Joint Stock Company, 14 Mechanic and Chemicals One Member Limited Liability Company, Institute of Construction Science and Technology, IntechCo Southern Company Limited, Dang Nam Phat Company Limited, and Cosco Company Limited.

At the workshop, MSc Le Phu Dong - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Food Science and Engineering shared difficulties, challenges and opportunities in the field of environment, concurrently presented plans to connect and build an ecosystem in environmental protection in Dong Nai and other provinces.

MSc Le Dinh Duan from MITECOM also revealed the advantages of microbiological applications to treat organic wastes in agriculture and environment with microbial fermentation systems and EMIC microbiological products, which help reduce pollution levels, pathogens, and pollution treatment costs.

Representatives of businesses also shared their own opinions and experience in wastewater, solid waste and exhaust gas treatment,... The workshop specially emphasized the importance of education and public awareness of environmental protection and sustainable development.
