As a part of the "400 billion VND project" - dormitory and study area expansion, expected to start in 2023, LHU had 5 consecutive working days with experts from UDI (University Design Institute), Arizona State University.
Experts from ASU made a project site analysis
The working session with UDI experts took place right after the New Year's meeting at LHU on January 30, 2023 (the 9th day of the Lunar New Year). On the first working day, the Chairwoman of the Unviersity Council, Dr. Do Thi Lan Dai shared about the pride that the University Management Board has put into the project, especially, expecting a desired design in order to bring a learning ecosystem from facilities to open spaces for students to unleash their creativity. There, students can feel the beneficial values brought by the design.
The two sides discussed the project's architecture
After 5 continuous working days from January 30 to February 3, 2023 via meetings, site surveys, Zoom meetings, LHU has received feedback and the design conclusions from the experts to aim at the LHU's charter: Leading - Humane - Upstanding.
The LHU Management Board highly appreciates the enthusiastic support from Arizona State University
As a member university of the BUILD-IT project - Building University-Industry Learning and Development through Innovation and Technology by ASU sponsored by USAID, LHU has received the strong connection and support from ASU in conducting training program evaluation according to ABET accreditation standards. After two training programs including Information Engineering Technology and Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology completed the ABET standard assessment in early November 2022, LHU continues to promote the training scale construction and expansion according to international standards. Therefore, the working session with experts from UDI, ASU promises to bring an impressive "new look" to LHU in the near future.
