More than 1.1 billion VND awarded to Chinese Language majors

On May 21, LHU organized a ceremony to award Corporate Scholarships to Chinese Language majors. The finale of the contest "Chinese Speech Contest 2022" was also organized at the event.

Participating in the event were the University Management Board, leaders of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, leaders of faculties and offices, leaders of the Vietnam - China Friendship Association of Dong Nai, news agencies in the province, representatives of business associations of Chinese provinces in Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of companies, lecturers and students majoring in Chinese Language.

29 students majoring in Chinese Language received Corporate Scholarships at the event

At the event, the organizers awarded Corporate Scholarships to 29 students with values ranging from 12 to 48 million VND each. The total amount of scholarships is 1,164,000,000 VND sponsored by 78 businesses. In which 87,000,000 VND has been awarded, the remaining 294,000,000 VND belonging to the scholarship fund to continue to support students in the coming time.

On the occasion, the organizers awarded certificates of merit to students who won prizes in the contests: My story, ancient costumes on TikTok.

After the scholarship awarding ceremony, LHU continued to organize the final round of the Chinese Speech Contest 2022 to create opportunities for students of Chinese Language majors to improve their communication skills, presentation skills and gain confidence in expressing Chinese Language.

The contest attracted the participation of more than 250 students at all levels. 8 finalists were selected for the final round. As a result, Thi Ngoc Thao (21DT111), Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh and Phung My Thuy (19DT113) won the First Prizes. Two Second prizes belonged to Le Thi Tri Kim (class 20DT114) and Pham Thi Nhi (class 19DT113). Phan Thi Thuy (class 21DT112) and Trieu Thi Phuong (class 19DT111) took Third places. Two Consolation prizes named Dao Ngoc Tram (class 21DT113), Ha Thi Ai Hau and class group 20DT115.
