Online Talk “How to use social networks in a safe and civilized way” to be held

In order to help freshmen of LHU avoid risks of social networks, the Office of Student Affairs in cooperation with Major. Dr. Le Hoang Viet Lam - Lecturer of Political Theory Department, People's Security University of HCM City will organize an online talk "How to use social networks in a safe and civilized way". The event will be live on fan page Lac Hong University https://www.facebook.com/lhuniversity at 7:00 p.m on Friday, October 29, 2021. Reportedly, this program lies in the series of civic education week of LHU.

According to the statistics of the Ministry of Information and Communications, nearly 70% Vietnamese citizens use social networks. Facebook, Google, YouTube, Zalo, Viber are used by many Vietnamese people today. The time for using social media of Vietnamese people is about 7 hours/day. Besides positive sides, social networks leave many unpredictable consequences and risks, in particular, fake news and bad clips,... having a great impact on the political, social and security life of the country.

Surveys carried out by many organizations also found that Vietnamese students use the internet and social networks regularly, especially Facebook. Therefore, the talk "How to use social networks safely" is very important and necessary, in order to help students not fall into "traps" of social media.
