More than VND 1,1 billion raised for students of Chinese Language Department

Recently, Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh, M.A - Head of Chinese Language Department, Faculty of Oriented Studies has constantly called for support from benefactors, businesses and friends,... As a result, she has mobilized nearly VND 1,160,400,000 for the scholarship fund of the Department.

Ms. Oanh said “For the sake of students, we have to do more, try to the end, to do the most for our students. We feel so lucky! In May 2021, the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in HCM City and the Chinese Business Association in HCM City sponsored the Chinese Language Department VND 200,000,000 as scholarships for 16 students with difficult circumstances."

“Amazing! the China Business Association in HCM City, Sichuan-Chongqing Business Association, Fujian Business Association, Hubei Business Association, President of Business Association, many Chinese companies and benefactors have donated full scholarships worth VND 208,000,000 for 9 students with difficult circumstances and Corporate Scholarships worth VND 498,000,000 for 20 other students." she shared.

The Chinese Language Department also received great support from DSc. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector, full-time lecturers and alumni. Accordingly, 34 students received professional support worth VND 43,000,000 and VND 31,900,000 added into the Corporate Scholarship Fund of the Chinese Language Department.

Luckily receiving full scholarships, Tran Thi Hong Oanh, Tran Thi Hong Dung, Vo Hoai Thuong, Vo Ha Nguyet Anh with difficult circumstances sent their sincere thanks to teachers, the University, and businesses for their support and donation.
