The 40th English club meeting to be held
At 8:00 am on Saturday March 21st 2015, Faculty of General English successfully held the 40th English club meeting for all non-major English students of the Lac Hong University. With the format of a tea-break, and actual topic "Establishing your social networks", the students practiced English communication skills as well as actively made friends and introduced themselves to the others. Opening the club was a game called "Picture Guessing". Students had 10 seconds to look at a series of social network icons, and then they had 30 seconds to name as many icons as possible. The game is to provide an overview of the current popular social network sites and apps.
After that, students joined a tea-break to make friends, introduce themselves to the other members, establish relationships and ask for others’ social network accounts. The atmosphere created excitement for the club through the group activity: "Benefits and Impacts of social networks". Students could show their creativity in each painting and boldly express their opinions in front of the entire students and teachers of Faculty of General English. With the slogan "For learning to be done, learning must be fun", the club brought a fun and useful weekend playground for the students.
