LHU wins many prizes at "Science and Technology Festival"

In the morning of January 17, at Golden Palace, Department of Science and Technology organized the program "Science and Technology Festival" including three contents: awarding prizes for nine movements and contests of science and technology 2013; seminar on resources mobilization pursuant to Plan No. 155-KH/TU of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee and reunion of postgraduates.

The event saw the presence of Mr. Bui Van Quyen - Chief of the National Office of Southern region (Ministry of Science and Technology), Mr. Tran Van Tu - Chairman of provincial People's Council, Mr. Dinh Quoc Thai - Chairman of provincial People's Committee, Mr. Huynh Van Toi - Head of Dong Nai provincial Department of Propaganda and Training, Mr. Vy Van Vu - Chairman of  Dong Nai province's Fatherland Front Committee, Mr. Huynh Tan Kiet - Chairman of provincial Labor Federation and representatives of agencies, departments and units.

Lac Hong University delegation led by Rector People's Teacher Dr. Do Huu Tai included Vice Rector Meritorious Teacher Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan - Chairwoman of Dong Nai provincial Science and Technology Associations Union; Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh - Dean of Mechatronics - Electronics Faculty, Head of Scientific Research Department and representatives of Mechatronics - Electronics, Civil Engineering and Biotechnology and Environment Faculties.

People's Teacher Dr. Do Huu Tai attends the seminar in parallel with the awarding ceremony.

On the occasion, the Organizing Board has awarded prizes for 9 movements and contests of Science and Technology 2013, including 396 prizes (26 first, 50 second, 76 third, 226 consolation, 4 typical, 8 gold, 6 silver ) for outstanding individuals and collectives.

 Chairman of University Student Association Tran Tien and students are praised for Learning Dong Nai Cultural and Historical Value Contest.

At the ceremony, LHU was honored to receive certificate of merit of Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for its authors including Pham Van Toan, Le Phuong Long and Tran Huu Tuyen - Faculty of Mechatronics - Electronics for their excellent achievements in science and technology movement 2012.

For the 18th Dong Nai Technical Innovation Contest, LHU occupied 15/47 solutions and won 1 First (Tran Van Thanh, M.A), 3 Second (Faculty of Mechatronics - Electronics), 2 Thrid (Faculty of Mechatronics - Electronics and Faculty of Civil Engineering) and 15 Consolation.

For the Contest for Learning Dong Nai Cultural and Historical Values, the Organizing Board received 20,884 entries. LHU won 3 individual prizes including 1 First, 1 Second and 1 Third and 1 Consolation ( University Youth Union - Student Association).
