"Start up is not simple, but if you live with dreams and have a specific plan to make it happen, the success will come," shared by Ms. Kim Anh at the Alumni Meeting in 2023 with students.
Ms. Hoang Thi Kim Anh was a student of the Semaster 2003-2008, Department of Food Science and Technology. Now, she is the Director of Calm Company Limited and the founder of An Hoa Hung Agricultural Cooperative. After graduating as the top student in 2008, Kim Anh easily found a job at a Germany pharmaceutical company in Binh Duong province. While she worked here, she pursued her passion in researching to extract essential oils from various herbs. These beginnings opened the way for the success of An Hoa Hung's Cao An Xoa today.
In the years 2019-2020, An Hoa's Cao An Xoa was selected as the OCOP (One Commune One Product) of Dong Nai province, won the Luong Dinh Cua award for the most outstanding young farmers nationwide, and received a promising prize in the PNKN competition organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union.
In 2020, the An Hoa Tea project – a cultivation, production, and consumption model – also won first prize in the PNKN competition organized by the Provincial Farmers' Union of Dong Nai and second prize in the startup innovation competition organized by the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai.
Kim Anh said:, "Since my time as a student, I always enjoyed practical sessions in the laboratory. I often asked teachers for additional hands-on practice outside of regular hours. Thanks to the well-equipped practical facilities and a spirit of curiosity, even when I was still in university, I personally extracted essential oils from various aromatic plants and grasses."
The practical and meaningful insights shared by Sister have instilled motivation and spirit in the students, encouraging them to strive in their studies and seek their own paths in the upcoming entrepreneurial journey.
