LHU Faculty and Students from the Faculty of Information Technology Welcomed by the UAE Embassy in Hanoi

Lac Hong University (LHU) has marked another significant milestone on the international technology map as faculty members and students from the Faculty of Information Technology were honored with a reception at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Hanoi.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Bui Xuan Canh along with the student research team from LHU's Faculty of Information Technology. Notably, the delegation held an official audience with His Excellency Eisa Alhammadi, Chargé d'Affaires of the UAE Embassy in Vietnam, in a formal, warm, and meaningful atmosphere.

LHU Recognized Following Success at UAE-Hosted Global Tech Competition

The reception hosted by the UAE Embassy follows the outstanding achievement of Lac Hong University at the Global Best M-Gov Award, a prestigious global technology competition organized by the Government of the United Arab Emirates in Dubai.

At this competition, LHU excellently secured the Silver Award with the "Your Voice" project. This initiative was led by Mr. Bui Xuan Canh and researched and developed by students from the Faculty of Information Technology.

The "Your Voice" project leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support communication for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. The solution translates sign language into text or speech, enabling users to exchange information easily, connect with the community, and improve their quality of life.

Remarkably, LHU’s project surpassed more than 5,000 outstanding entries from numerous countries worldwide to enter the finals and secure the runner-up position. This achievement brings immense pride to the research team and validates the capacity for innovation, applied research, and global integration of LHU’s faculty and students.

During the reception, the Chargé d'Affaires extended his congratulations and praise to Mr. Bui Xuan Canh and the research team for their dedication and remarkable accomplishments in researching and deploying science and technology projects.
