On October 6, 2023, Lac Hong University hosted a working session with the delegation from the National Assembly’s Committee on Science, Technology, and Environment, which was overseeing the implementation of policies and regulations related to the development of the science and technology market. The session also included representatives from the People's Committee of Dong Nai Province.

The delegation, led by Mr. Nguyen Phuong Tuan, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee on Science, Technology, and Environment, comprised members of the Committee, National Assembly deputies from Dong Nai, Phu Yen, and Lam Dong provinces, and representatives from the People's Committee of Dong Nai Province. The delegation was received by Dr. Lam Thanh Hien, Rector of Lac Hong University, along with members of the Board of Rectors, leaders from various faculties, departments, and centers within the university.

During the meeting, Dr. Lam Thanh Hien highlighted that Lac Hong University is among the leading higher education institutions in the country in terms of scientific research and technology transfer, with numerous achievements in the application of scientific and technological advancements. The university's modern and conducive learning and working environment has created a solid foundation for faculty, staff, and students to thrive in research and innovation. Lac Hong University has established itself as a "pioneer" in research and technology transfer in Dong Nai Province, contributing significantly to the region's socio-economic development.
However, Dr. Hien also outlined some challenges faced by the university's faculty, staff, and researchers in executing provincial and national-level scientific research projects, especially in the areas of project evaluation and the allocation of state budgets for research activities. Additionally, there have been certain obstacles in the establishment of the Robotics Center at the university. During this working session, the university proposed that the delegation consider reviewing and refining policies related to the Science and Technology Development Fund in enterprises to better support the role of institutions in scientific and technological activities within Dong Nai Province.

Through this meeting, the National Assembly’s Committee on Science, Technology, and Environment acknowledged the feedback for consideration and potential amendments under the new legislative framework.
