This specialized program aims to elevate deep language skills, focusing on practical communication and the application of Chinese in academic and professional contexts. The program targets undergraduate students, recent graduates, faculty members and external students aspiring to pursue international studies and careers, particularly within Chinese-speaking enterprises or through exchange programs with foreign partners. With over 300 expected participants, Phase 2 incorporates interactive methods, language immersion, and outcome-focused learning
“This is more than a language class. It’s an opportunity to bridge cultures, expand futures, and support inclusive access to global education,” said a program partner.
Elevating Skills, Fostering Global Careers
The Intensive Chinese Language Training Program is meticulously structured to ensure high-quality language acquisition, emphasizing interactive learning, rapid response training, and proficient use of Chinese in real-world scenarios. It serves as crucial preparation for international exchange programs, internships abroad, or direct transfer to partner universities.
"Our commitment to equipping students with robust foreign language skills, especially Chinese, is paramount," stated Lam Thanh Hien - Rector of Lac Hong University. "This program is not just about language; it's about opening doors to global academic and career opportunities while fostering a generation ready for international collaboration."
This initiative directly contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education) by offering a high-quality, specialized curriculum that promotes lifelong learning for a wide range of participants, including undergraduates, graduates, and faculty. It also supports SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by preparing students for high-demand international roles, thus creating direct pathways to dignified employment.
Driving Sustainable Impact Through Partnerships
LHU’s program embodies SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through its collaborative framework with international partners. By strengthening international cooperation in education, LHU is actively contributing to global sustainable development objectives. This fosters an increasingly internationalized and inclusive academic community, aligning with SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by promoting sustainable practices within the educational ecosystem.
The continued expansion of the Intensive Chinese Language Training Program highlights LHU's dedication to its vision and mission of impacting sustainable development, a commitment critical for university impact rankings like the THE Impact Rankings. By consistently investing in such high-impact educational initiatives, LHU demonstrates its tangible contributions to societal advancement and global integration.
"The opportunity to continue my Chinese studies through Phase 2 is invaluable. It’s making my dream of working internationally a realistic goal, and I feel much better prepared for the global stage." – said a program participant.
