Ceremony to appoint Associate Professor title
LHU held a respectful ceremony on March 5 to announce and award the Decision to appoint Associate Professor title to PhD. Nguyen Vu Quynh and PhD. Nguyen Thanh Lam.
The ceremony was attended by Ms. Do Thi Lan Dai, PhD - Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Lam Thanh Hien - Acting Rector, The University Management Board and leaders of units. Reportedly, the State Council of Professors 2020 signed Decisions to recognize 39 Professors and 300 Associate Professors. LHU was proud to have two teachers as Associate Professors.
Signing with An Khang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company
On March 11, LHU officially signed an agreement on the collaboration in researching, training and recruitment with An Khang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company - Mobile World Group.
The signing ceremony saw the presence of Mr. Lam Thanh Hien - Acting Rector, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Quynh, - Dean of Pharmacy Faculty, Heads of Departments and students of Pharmacy Faculty. On the Mobile World Group side, there were Ms. Dang Thi Hue - Head of Talent Attraction Division, Human Resources Department and Ms. Ho My Hanh - Manager of An Khang Functional Pharmacy Department.
To train qualified Pharmacist staff meeting the needs of enterprises and society, the Faculty of Pharmacy in particular and LHU in general have constantly made efforts and perfected its training programs. In addition to improving the teaching quality and the teaching staff, the University promotes cooperation relations with enterprises in training and recruitment. This cooperation tie with An Khang Pharmaceutical Company will bring benefits for learners, the community and the development of both sides.
After the signing activity, An Khang Pharmaceutical Company directly exchanged with students recruitment information and job opportunities.
Signing with Vietnam Suzuki Co., Ltd
Also on March 11, Mr. Tai Shogo - Human Resources Advisor from Vietnam Suzuki Co., Ltd visited and signed an agreement on recruitment cooperation with LHU.
The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Vu Quynh - Vice Rector; Mr. Pham Van Toan - Dean of Faculty of Mechatronics - Electronics; Mr. Truong Anh Minh - Head of Corporate Relations Division and a large number of students majoring in Automotive Engineering Technology.
At the ceremony, representing Vietnam Suzuki Company, Ms. Nguyen Do Hoang Thy - Assistant Manager of Human Resources Department shared with the participants the history, development directions, training strategies as well as recruitment opportunities of the Company.
LHU in general and the Faculty of Mechatronics - Electronics in particular have been strengthening cooperation relations with enterprises in order to ensure students are trained according to social needs and their jobs after graduation.
Lac Hong Racing Car 2021
The Racing Car Contest kicked off on March 14 at the second campus of LHU, attracting the participation of 39 teams coming from Automotive Engineering Technology, the Faculty of Mechatronics - Electronics.
The contest was an exciting playground, offering new knowledge and helpful skills to students of Automotive Engineering Technology in particular and the Faculty of Mechatronics - Electronics in general.
The Contest saw the presence of Mr. Lam Thanh Hien - Acting Rector, Mr. Pham Van Toan - Dean of Faculty of Mechatronics - Electronics, Mr. Le Hoang Anh - Vice Dean of Faculty of Mechatronics - Electronics, lecturers in Automotive Engineering Technology, news agencies, fans and competing teams. This was the second time the Faculty of Mechatronics - Electronics had held the Racing Car with the theme "aspire to lead". After 4 dramatic and attractive rounds, the Immortal 2 team excellently won the championship and received the prestigious trophy at the competition.
The 45th blood donation program
The 45th blood donation program was held on March 25 by LHU Youth Union - Student Association in cooperation with Dong Nai provincial Red Cross Association and Cho Ray Regional Blood Transfusion and Haematology Center in HCM City at the third campus of LHU. The 45th humanitarian blood donation program was also sponsored by the C.P Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company, Tam An General Hospital and Mai Phuong Computer in Bien Hoa city.
Responding actively, 400 volunteers had signed up for the 45th blood donation program. As a result, 298 units of blood were collected at the event. "A drop of blood given, Millions of lives received” was the message of the annual blood donation program of LHU Youth Union - Student Association. It was also a meaningful occasion for teachers, staff and students to show their good deeds for the community, contributing to provide blood sources to save people's lives.
Meeting to mark the 90th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union
In the morning of March 26, the LHU Standing Committee of Youth Union held a solemn ceremony at the meeting hall I209, campus 6 to celebrate the 90th founding anniversary of the HCM Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 – 2021) and Union-admission ceremony for 2020-2021.
The ceremony was attended by Party Secretary Nguyen Trung Phuong, Secretary of Youth Union Le Son Quang, Chairman of Student Association Tran Tien, cadres, comrades, representatives from offices, departments and 200 new union members. At the event, Youth Union members reviewed the glorious tradition of the HCM Communist Youth Union over the past 90 years and learned about the importance of Union foundation day. In addition, the Youth Union Executive Committee held the Union Admission Ceremony for more than 300 students and commended individuals and collectives for their outstanding achievements in the Youth Union work and the student movement.
LHU Media Club established
The LHU Media Division officially introduced the LHU Media Club with the 1990s concept on March 27 in a simple and warm atmosphere.
The launching event saw the presence of DSc. Lam Thanh Hien - Acting Rector, Mr. Nguyen Trong Vinh - Deputy Manager of Academic Affairs Department, Ms. Khuat Kieu Diem Nhi - Deputy Manager of Media Division, teachers, members of Youth Union - Student Association Executive Board, leaders of clubs and first talented members of the Media Club.
The Media Club established aimed at offering students space to learn, experience, create and equip many necessary skills,... . thereby, contributing to the development of Media activities of LHU. These activities would be certainly helpful for students in CV writing. It could be said that this launching event is the beginning of a new potential generation of the Media Club, LHU in the future.
With unique and creative ideas, the Media Club launching ceremony had impressively reappeared the atmosphere of the 90s. The special feature was the confectionery booth "Lac Hong Memory" and the 1990s-styled background "Lac Hong Film Studio. This would definitely be a place photographers could not miss. Many practical and interesting activities also took place at the event, especially the "Rookie Talent" contest including Photo taking and Content Editor, attracting the active participation of a large number of club members and guests. The winner also received many attractive rewards.
