On the morning of September 23, 2026, LHU held a signing ceremony for a MoU with Nemetschek Group, a leading global technology group in the field of Architecture, Engineering, and Construction. The event marks an important step in the University’s efforts to improve training quality and promote the application of modern technology.
The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lam Thanh Hien, Rector of LHU, MSc. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, as well as lecturers and students from the Faculty. Nemetschek Group was represented by Mr. Jonathan Ng, CEO, and other members of the delegation.
In his remarks at the event, Rector of LHU Lam Thanh Hien emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two sides during the digital transformation of the construction industry. The MoU with Nemetschek Group will provide students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering with opportunities to gain direct access to advanced software and technology solutions that meet international standards in building design, construction, and project management.
Under the MoU, the two sides will strengthen collaboration in training, research, and digital transformation in the built environment sector. A key focus is the provision of specialized software for training, supporting curriculum development, and enabling students to gain closer exposure to the tools used in professional practice.
In addition, LHU and Nemetschek Group will jointly organize workshops, professional seminars, business networking activities, and training programs on BIM, IFC, artificial intelligence, Smart FM, and Digital Twin. These technologies are helping transform the way buildings are designed, constructed, managed, and operated in the digital environment.
The cooperation also expands opportunities for students to undertake internships and gain practical experience with businesses, while enabling lecturers to access new technologies, exchange professional knowledge, and keep up with industry trends. Through this, practical knowledge and experience can be continuously incorporated into the training programs.
The MoU with Nemetschek Group further demonstrates LHU’s orientation toward putting learners at the center, strengthening connections between education, technology, businesses, and the international environment. As technology is brought closer to the classroom, students not only learn theoretical knowledge but also have more opportunities to work with real-world tools, address practical problems, and prepare earlier for their professional careers after graduation.
