On March 27, 2024 the Department of Japanese Studies under the Faculty of Oriental Studies, LHU organized a warm ceremony to praise and commend student Nguyen Thi Nu from class 21DN113, for excellently winning the 7th Southern Universities Japanese Speech Contest held at VNUHCM-University of Social Sciences and Humanities on March 16.

The event taking place in a joyful and exciting atmosphere saw the presence of Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan - Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Huu Nghi - Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies; M.A Nguyen Thi Nhu Thuong - Vice Dean; Dr. Nguyen Thi Nhu Quynh - Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy cum psychologist; Ms. Nakamaru Sawako - Japanese expert; Dr. Nguyen Thanh Son - Director of Center of Scientific Research and Applications; lecturers and students of the Department of Japanese Studies.
Dr. Nguyen Van Quyet - Chairman of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Dong Nai province also attended the event.

At the event, Nguyen Thi Nu shared her journey to the First prize of the Japanese Speech Contest, at the same time expressing gratitude to the Faculty's leaders and lecturers who had greatly accompanied and supported her during her studies.

Within the framework of the commendation ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Thi Nhu Quynh - Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy cum psychologist presented the topic "Overcoming psychological barriers and conquering goals" aiming to help students identify and overcome their mental barriers, then setting and achieving goals. She also provided students with some tips to remove some of the common barriers they may face when learning foreign languages. Ms Quynh has affirmed that all barriers can be overcome if we constantly strive and believe in our abilities.
