On January 21, 2024, at Rach Mieu Gymnasium in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam E-Sports and Entertainment Association (VIRESA) held a ceremony to honor and present certificates of Recognition “E-sports Grandmaster Athletes” in 2024, phase 2 for for e-sports athletes and coaches who have impressive achievements at big regional and international sports events and tournaments.
In October 2023, the VIRESA called for athletes from LHU to compete in the E-Sports performance event at the Asian Games in Hangzhou (China). LHU members included Mr. Le Hoang Anh - Vice Dean of Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics; Mr. La Khai Khai - Head of Department of Mechatronics Engineering Technology; Mr. Nguyen Phan Xuan Khuong - Lecturer; Students Nguyen Nho Phong Vu and Nguyen Van Son. All the members were present at the Ceremony of Honor and Athletes Grandmaster Recognition 2024, phase 2.

The ceremony aims to:
• Honor and present certificates of Recognition “Esports Grandmaster Athletes” in 2023
• Award certificates of recognition "National Coaches/Athletes" in 2023
• Give thanks to agencies, partners, and individuals for their outstanding contributions to E-Sports in 2023

At the ceremony, 45 out of 70 athletes awarded the title of E-sports Grandmaster Athlete; 20 out of 36 athletes and coaches awarded National Coach and Athlete certificates, along with 30 collectives were honored as partners, including publishers, investors, sponsors and media units.

The event is intended to promote and encourage athletes and coaches for the achievements they have achieved in the past year. It also creates favorable conditions for E-sports and dance sports development and achievements in 2024.
