Exciting cooking contest entitled "Cooking with LHU family"

In the celebration of the 93rd founding anniversary of Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - 2023) and the 13th anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20, 2010 - 2023), on the morning of October 19, 2023 the Labour Union of LHU organized a cooking contest titled “Cooking with LHU family" at the Campus 2.

The contest drew the participation of 26 teams. Each team consisted of 3 contestants including at least one man.

With a challenge to cook a nutritious meal for 6 family members which ensured food safety standards within only 300.000 VND, each cooking team had to prepare recipes, ingredients and cooked dishes.

After showing off their talents in cooking, the contestants also presented the meaning and concept of their dishes. 

In only 90 minutes, all teams excellently completed their competition. The dishes were assessed by the Board of Judges from Dong Nai Chef Association including Chef Nguyen Van Thinh; Chef Ngo Chi Va and Chef Pham Van Hoang. The judges selected the best cooking teams and gave out prizes as follows:

+ Lac Hong bird wings team won First prize worth 800.000 VND.

+ The Faculty of Finance and Accounting team and the Happy Cook team from the Office of Academic Affairs shared Second prizes each worth 500.000 VND.

+ The Cheese team from the Office of Student Affairs; the Capable Uncle team from the Faculty of English Language and the Wow Yummy team from the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics were announced co-winners of the Third prizes each worth 400.000 VND.

+ There were also 5 Consolation prizes each worth 300.000 VND.

This contest was not only a place for lecturers and employees to show their cooking talents but also an opportunity for all to share experience on nutritious meals.
