On September 13 morning, the Department of Japanese Studies under the Faculty of Oriental Studies, LHU held an intimate ceremony to welcome its students of the 2023 intake. The event saw the presence of the head, lecturers, Japanese experts, member staff, current students and many freshman students.
The ceremony aims to offer freshmen an opportunity to meet their new friends and lecturers, to learn information about their major as well as get familiar with a new studying environment.
At the event, the representative of the Department gave a short introduction about the Department's goals and objectives, curriculum, rules, and regulations,... Also, lecturers and current students shared their stories and practical experiences as well as advice to help the freshmen study well.
In addition to the open and friendly ceremony, the Department organized a variety of activities to welcome the freshman students including arts performance, traditional tea ceremony, calligraphy, cuisines, performance of Vietnam - Japan traditional clothes,...
