Cooperation meeting between LHU and Yunnan Normal University

On August 19 morning, a delegation from Yunnan Institute of Patterns, Yunnan Normal University visited and had a cooperation meeting with LHU.

The delegation included Prof. Yang Jian - Vice Dean; Assoc. Prof. Xiong Shiping, Director of the Master's Program in Vietnamese Interpretation; Ms. Ha Yanhong, Lecturer in Vietnamese Language; and Ms. Luo Yin, Teaching Assistant in Vietnamese Language.

Welcoming the delegation were LHU' representatives including Dr. Nguyen Huu Nghi - Dean of Faculty of Oriental Studies, Hoang Tien Dung, M.A – Deputy Head of Office of International Affairs, Phan The Anh, M.A - Program Head of Chinese Language Department; Do Thi Kim Oanh, M.A - Lecturer of Vietnamese Studies Department and related staff.

The cooperation meeting between the two sides

Yunnan Normal University is located in Kunming city, Yunnan province. It has more than 32,000 full-time students including Ph.D., postgraduates and undergraduates. It has trained more than 11,000 international students from more than 50 countries. The University is also a Chinese language training school for Chinese language teachers in Southeast Asia. It is one of the first Chinese universities to establish Confucius Institutes abroad. Yunnan Normal University consists of 26 schools and more than 40 research centers and institutes. The University offers 86 bachelor's programs, 26 master's programs, 10 professional master's programs and many doctoral programs.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed and shared cooperation contents such as study abroad programs and scholarships for students. More study abroad opportunities and experiences are hoped to bring to students of both sides.
