A Japanese Speech Contest themed "The role of youth in cultivating Vietnam - Japan friendship" was co-organized by the Department of Japanese Studies from the Faculty of Oriental Studies, LHU and the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Dong Nai province on August 16 morning, 2023 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Japan.

This year's contest attracted the participation of nearly 100 entries from students at all levels. The judges selected 10 best ones for the final round.
The finale took place successfully with insightful speeches and many creative ideas on how to promote the friendship between Vietnam and Japan.

With responsible and fair spirit, the Jury selected the winners. Tran Quynh Trang, a second year student won First prize. Le Quang Huy took Second place. Bui Ngoc Thanh Tam, Do Quang Hien, Hoang Thi Hong Hanh and Le Trieu Man shared Third prizes. Four Consolation prizes named Ha Thi Cam Nhung, Pham Thi Thu Huong, Vu Thanh Hoa and Pham Vo My Huyen.
