On May 20th, 2023, the Chinese Speech Contest 2023 organized by the Department of Chinese Language, LHU took place at Hall A301, Campus 1 with the competition of 10 finalists.
Attending the contest, from the side of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City were Mr. Xu Zhou - Deputy Consul General; Mr. Lu Bing - Consul and Ms. Yuan Hui Na - Vice Consul.

From Dong Nai province's leaders, there were Mr. Tran Quoc Toan - Deputy Director of Department of External Relations, Ms. Tran Thi Mai - Standing member of the Vietnam - China Friendship Association in Dong Nai province.

The Chinese Speech Contest is a specialized competition annually held by the Chinese Language Department of LHU, aiming to create opportunities for exchanges between students and businesses, enhance job opportunities for students and create a useful playground for students to improve their communication skills in Chinese Language.
This year's contest attracted the participation of more than 250 students at all levels. 10 contestants were selected for the final round. During the finals, besides interesting presentations, the contestants confidently performed their talents such as singing, dancing, magic trick,...

With responsible and fair spirit, the Jury selected the winners as follow
Ho Thanh Ha (class 20DT113) and Le Thi Yen Nhi (class 22DT112) won First prizes. Two Second prizes belonged to Tran Ho Ngoc Hieu (class 21DT114) and Le Thi Tri Kim (class 20DT114). Dao Ngoc Tram (class 21DT113) and Vu Cong Tinh - Vo Hung Tam (class 20DT115) took Third places. Four Consolation prizes named Nguyen Van Sang (class 22DT111); Tran Thi Thuy Nga (class 20DT113); Phan Thi Thuy, (class 21DT112) and Vo Thi My Hanh (class 22DT114).

On this occasion, the Chinese Language Department awarded certificates of merit to 10 interns who had successfully completed the tasks of the second semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. Winners of Tiktok Trend Contest were also awarded certificates of merit at the event.
