Robocon Vietnam 2023 in the Southern region officially kicks off

The qualifying round of Robocon 2023 in the Southern region took place on April 27 at LHU's Robot Technology Center attracting the participation of 12 teams from 3 universities in southern provinces and cities.

The Southern Regional Qualifier attracted 12 teams from Mien Trung Industry and Trade College, LHU and HCM City University of Technology and Education

After a 3-year hiatus, the Vietnam Robocon has returned. This year’s contest theme is "Explore the ancient temple", inspired by the culture of one of the oldest civilizations located in the heart of Southeast Asia, Cambodia.

The Robocon Vietnam 2023 National Qualifier attracted 67 teams from 19 universities and colleges across the country. In which, 55 teams participated in the Northern qualifying round and 12 teams participated in the Southern qualifier.

The 32 best teams will be selected for the national final round which will be held in Nam Dinh next May. The winner of the national contest will represent Vietnam to attend the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2023 which is scheduled for August in Cambodia.

This year’s exam introduces two robots, Robot Elephant and Robot Rabbit from the ideas of traditional dances and folk games in Cambodia.
