LHU worked and exchanged with STUST

On April 13, 2023, a delegation of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology (STUST) led by Prof. Cheng Yu Lee – Head of Office of International Affairs visited and exchanged with LHU.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh - Vice Rector; Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh, M.A - Head of Office of International Affairs cum Vice Dean of Faculty of Oriental Studies; Hoang Tien Dung, M.A - Deputy Head of Office of International Affairs of LHU welcomed the delegation.

Representatives of STUST also included Dr. Tran Hong Chuong – Director of Office of International University Foundation Programme; Ms. Tina Chen and Ms. Kim Chang – Coordinators of Office of International Affairs; Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Dung – PhD student.

The working session between the two universities 

Founded in 1969, STUST is one of the best universities in Taiwan especially in Engineering - Technology field and it is one of the universities with the most international students. STUST is composed of 4 colleges: the College of Engineering, the College of Business, the College of Digital Design, and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences with 25 departments, 12 master programs, and 3 doctoral programs. STUST currently has more than 800 faculty members, and about 18,000 enrolled students, of which 170 are international students.

In 2019, LHU and STUST signed an agreement to implement cooperation programs between the two sides.

During the working session, the two universities exchanged the fields of educational cooperation, scholarship programs for students studying at STUST. STUST also expressed its wish to cooperate with Faculties and Departments of LHU such as Information Technology, Engineering, Mechanics, Languages,…
