On April 8, more than 50 students and 5 Lao and Cambodian students studying at LHU attended the traditional New Year festivals Bunpimay and Chol Chnam Thmay for Lao and Cambodian students studying in Dong Nai. The event was organized by the People's Committee of Dong Nai province.

The event is an annual activity aiming to create an exchange environment between students of the three countries, thereby cultivating their friendship and mutual understanding.

There are currently 52 students from the two countries studying at 5 colleges and universities in the province.
At the event, LHU students had the opportunity to experience and learn about the traditional culture of the two countries, at the same time creating a joyful atmosphere and promoting solidarity among students.

During the festival, delegates and students participated in various activities, including praying for blessings, thread tying ceremony, water festival, singing, dancing, folk games, Lam Vong dance,... In particular, they enjoyed traditional dishes of the three countries at the culinary cultural exchange program.

A representative of the organizers said “We organize this event to help students of the two countries and students of Dong Nai province have the opportunity to learn about the life, culture and festivals of the neighboring countries in the region. All activities are organized and enthusiastically welcomed by the students."
On the occasion, the Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee and other units presented gifts and extended New Year greetings to Lao and Cambodian students who are studying in the province.
