LHU attended International Conference "Digital transformation in the context of Industry 4.0"

Recently, Mr. Bui Van Thuy and Ms. Lam Ngoc Nhan - Lecturers of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, LHU attended and presented at the International Conference themed "Digital transformation in the context of Industry 4.0" in Hanoi, September 29, 2022. The conference was co-organized by Thuongmai University, Viettel Academy and IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems (Austria).

The event was a forum for researchers, policy makers, businesses ... at home and abroad to exchange, discuss and evaluate the current situation of digital transformation activities in the context of Industry 4.0 in the world and in Vietnam; opportunities and challenges of digital transformation; experience and new research results of digital transformation in education, economy, business and management… in the context of digital transformation taking place in all areas of life.

The conference saw the presence of Mr. Pham Hong Hai - Director of the Department of Regional and Local Economy, Central Economic Commission; Mr. Tran Nam Tu - Deputy Director of Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Ministry of Education and Training; Mr. Tao Bang Huy - Deputy Director of Employment Department, Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs; Mr. Le Trong Ha - Counselor, Embassy of Vietnam in Hungary; A/Prof. PhD. Le Thanh Ha – Chairman of the University Council, University of Labor and Social Affairs; A/Prof. PhD. Le Thi Thu Thuy – Chairwoman of the University Council, Foreign Trade University; A/Prof. PhD. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector of VNU University of Economics and Business; Dr. Duong Thi Thanh Xuan – Vice Rector of Trade Union University; Dr. Nguyen Van Thien – Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry; representatives of universities: National Economics University; Banking Academy of Vietnam; Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam; authors; scientists, managers and experts, lecturers, PhD students; media units and delegates from many universities.

From nearly 100 reports of scientists, experts from 30 educational institutions, research institutions, businesses across the country and foreign partners from Austria, France, Hungary, Korea, the Organizers selected 65 papers to be published in the conference proceedings. The articles mainly focused on Digital transformation in education; Impact of digital transformation on businesses in the context of industry 4.0; Digital transformation in economy, business and management; Theoretical and practical issues and lessons learned from the digital transformation in the context of industry 4.0.

At the conference, the author group of MSc. Bui Van Thuy and MSc. Lam Ngoc Nhan - Lecturers of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, LHU presented the report "Analysis of Factors Affecting Digital Transformation at Small and Medium Enterprises in Dong Nai Province". The article used quantitative methods to measure and evaluate factors affecting digital transformation in small and medium enterprises in Dong Nai province. The research results showed that there were six factors affecting digital transformation in small and medium enterprises in Dong Nai province, namely Business Strategy, Digitization Process, Human Resources, Digital Transformation Benefits, Competitive Pressures, Government Policy. From there, the report suggested some solutions to help businesses implement digital transformation activities successfully. After the presentation, relevant issues were discussed.

Through the conference, the lecturers of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting had the opportunity to exchange and learn new knowledge and skills, helping to improve their professional qualifications.
