LHU attended VietTESOL international convention 2022

Recently, Ms. Le Thi Ha, lecturer of the Faculty of English Language, LHU attended and presented at the VietTESOL international convention 2022 themed “Digital ELT: Approaches and Innovations” in Nha Trang City from September 16 to September 18, 2022. The convention was co-organized by the Vietnam Association of English Language Teaching and Research (VietTESOL), the Ministry of Education and Training's National Foreign Languages Project and Nha Trang University. Within the framework of the convention, scientists presented new research results on Methods and Innovations in Teaching English in the Digital Age.

The convention gathered famous keynote and featured presenters from all over the world: Prof. Rod Ellis; Prof. Marshall Jones,... and many leading experts from Pearson, British Council, Macmillan, and Cambridge Assessment English. At the convention, Ms. Le Thi Ha presented the theme "Digital tools in virtual speaking classrooms". The presentation attracted the attention of many attendees and opinion exchange from experts from the British Council due to its up-to-date and practicality in teaching English speaking skills for students.

The VietTESOL International Conference in 2022 has built a forum for scientists to exchange research results, ideas, innovations and resources related to English research, teaching and learning. Prof. Nguyen Van Hoa, Chairman of the VietTESOL Association, said: “This is a place for scientists to discuss and propose ideas on reforming training programs and teaching methods, applying English teaching technology and improving English language ability for learners”. The convention also aims to connect teachers, researchers, and educators in English research and teaching, in order to build a national and international English teaching community.
