LHU and Guangxi Normal University signed to establish "Chinese Language and Culture Center

On the morning of January 10, 2022, LHU held an ceremony to officially sign and establish a "Chinese Language and Culture Center" with Guangxi Normal University.

Earlier in 2020, LHU and Guangxi Normal University signed a memorandum of understanding on international cooperation in the fields of education, scientific research and other fields.

The ceremony saw the presence of Mr. Lam Thanh Hien – Rector of LHU, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam - Vice Rector, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh - Head of International Affairs Office, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghi - Dean of Faculty of Oriental Studies and ladies and gentlemen in charge of the Department of Chinese Studies. On the side of Guangxi Normal University, there were Mr. He Zubin - Rector, Mr. Su GuiFA – Vice Rector, Ms. Li Dongmei - Head of Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, Mr. Zhang Xi – Head of Office of International Student Admissions.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. He Zubin gave the participants an overview of Guangxi Normal University. Being the first university of education established in China, Guangxi Normal University has established relations with 355 universities and research centers from 32 countries and regions so far. It is also the home of the largest number of Vietnamese students, with more than 20,000 graduates. Especially, it is the first Univertisty in cooperation with the Ministry of Education of China to expand full scholarships and study abroad packages for students from ASEAN countries. Thereby, it is firmly believed that the birth of the Chinese Language and Culture Center will help the relationship between the two sides move to a new height.

Over the years, the cooperation tie between LHU and Guangxi Normal University has been close. This relationship will be even grown more when the Chinese Language and Culture Center is born. Through this cooperation program, the two universities will have more opportunities to connect, visit and promote academic exchange between lecturers and students. Guangxi Normal University also accepts LHU's overseas students and opens joint training programs of masters and doctoral degrees in Chinese language, more summer camps and short-term study abroad programs.

Hopefully the epidemic will be controlled soon, so that LHU students can take part in summer camps and intership activities in 2022.
