10.000 face masks donated to residents

Early August, when the covid 19 pandemic broke out again, LHU Youth Union - Student Association gave 10,000 free face masks to students and local people with the aim to join hands with the community to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Of the face masks, 2,500 were donated by Nguyen Khoa - a junior student majoring in Business Administration, the remaining came from the University.

2020 Green Summer

In August, the Youth Union of LHU launched the 2020 Green Summer campaign in Mo Rai commune, Sa Thay district, Kon Tum province. The campaign took place successfully with the participation of 20 student volunteers.

Here, the Green Summer team donated 32 computer sets, 30 bunk bed sets, 2 water filters, 2000 notebooks and 16 gifts to schools, families of war invalids and martyrs, borderlands security in the area, with a total value of VND 125 million.

Honored to receive the Government's Emulation Flag

LHU was honored to receive the Government's Emulation Flag at a ceremony to present noble awards of the Party and the State 2020 held by Dong Nai provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People’s Committee and Vietnamese Fatherland Front.

LHU shown on "Exploring universities" program of Tuoitre newspaper 

On August 21, Tuoitre online newspaper broadcasted the program "Exploring LHU".

Following the MC Tam Trieu Dang to explore LHU

The program is carried out in the form of discovering real LHU campuses with a camera. Students and parents will follow the host Le Tam Trieu Dang to explore campuses and beautiful features of LHU. The host also interacts with students, lecturers, and the Management Board so that parents and students can learn clearly about training programs. The program is broadcast on tuoitre.vn, tv.tuoitre.vn, YouTube channel and Fanpage of Tuoitre newspaper.

MA training program in English language coming soon

On August 10, LHU organized an appraisal council for opening MA training program in English language major. The appraisal council was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Vu Phi Ho - Vice Rector of Ba Ria - Vung Tau University and members from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education. Permanent Vice Rector Lam Thanh Hien and leaders of English Language Faculty attended the event.

Presently, LHU is offering six MA programs and two PhD programs. 

Talkshow series "The future of 2K2"

The program "The future 2K2" (2k2 - students born in 2002) was implemented by LHU with the wish to advise and share with parents and high school candidates useful information relating to future directions.The program has been broadcast every Thursday.

Talkshow "The future of 2K2"  has attracted great attention from parents and candidates 

Every week, the program invites speakers as admission consultants, lecturers, businesses, alumni, etc., to share "hot" topics relating to the enrollment and future orientations.

In addition, the program provides useful information about LHU's enrollment, facilities, training programs,  policies and scholarships to support new students.

First freshmen admitted to LHU

On August 29 and 30, LHU officially welcomed parents and new students from provinces. Right in the morning, hundreds of candidates completed admission procedures and officially became the freshmen of the 2020 course.

Just 3:00 am, August 29, first students from Bac Lieu and Quang Ngai provinces came to LHU for admission

Reportedly, the admission event will be divided into several phases. The first one takes place from August 29 to September 19. Candidates entering the first phase will be presented with a gift package and a scholarship worth VND 12 million (including language courses, skills courses, dormitory fees, travel fees...).

In spite of the difficult period of pandemic, the LHU collective has made great efforts to both fulfill the main tasks and share with the community. Hopefully, LHU will have more outstanding activities next September.
