Additional 30 LHU students get Nguyen Van Ky scholarships

30 LHU students have been recently honored to receive Nguyen Van Ky scholarships at Dong Nai Television Broadcasting Station. The scholarship awarding ceremony organized by Provincial Standing Committee of Fatherland Front aimed to commemorate Mrs. Le Thi Tru (Mr. Ky's wife) and award scholarships to 151 students and pupils. Chairman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee Huynh Van Toi and LHU Secretary of Party Committee Nguyen Trung Phuong - Chairman of Provincial Study Encouragement Association attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, the organizers awarded 151 scholarships each worth VND 1.5 - 3 million to studious poor students studying at Dong Nai University, Lac Hong University, Dong Nai Medical College, Luong The Vinh high school, Quyet Thang junior high school and Thong Nhat junior high school. 30 LHU students received scholarships each worth VND 3 million.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Huynh Van Toi sent his sincere thanks to the family of Mrs. Tru for their foundation of Nguyen Van Ky scholarship which aims to help and encourage disadvantaged pupils and students to overcome difficulties and continue their study.

Nguyen Van Ky Scholarship (former Secretary of Bien Hoa Party Committee) was established in 2012 with initial capital of VND 1 billion sponsored by the family of Mrs Tru. So far, the fund awarded 1,040 scholarships totaling more than VND 2.6 billion to studious poor students.
