In the afternoon of Sept 12, more than 300 students of Mechatronics - Electronics Faculty, LHU gathered at room I209 - Center for Application and Scientific Research to attend a ceremony to launch 2017 Lac Hong Robot Contest.

The ceremony attracted the participation of many students of Mechatronics - Electronics Faculty.

The ceremony was attended by Standing Vice Rector Lam Thanh Hien - Head of Robocon Board, Dean of Mechatronics - Electronics Faculty Nguyen Vu Quynh, Director of Information and Resources Center Huynh Cao Tuan - Technical Adviser, Mr. Tran Phu Cuong majored in Physics and the great number of students of Mechatronics - Electronics Faculty.

The theme of Robot Contest 2017 is “The Landing Disc” inspired from the traditional game “Tosenkyo” of Japan - the host of ABU Asia - Pacific Robocon 2017. The game relates to "Sensu" (paper fan) invented in Japan 1300 years ago. The purpose of the game is not only throwing the fan hitting the target but also paying attention to the location of the fan and the target after throwing.

Vice Rector Lam Thanh Hien launched the 2017 Lac Hong Robocon at school level.

At the ceremony, the participants watched a film describing 2017 robocon laws. According to Head of Robocon Board, this year's robot theme is so interesting but full challenging.

Also at the event, members of Consulting and Instructor Board answered questions asked by students in making robots. To prepare for the regional qualifying round, from now to end 2016, students will respectively experience rounds such as "Design Ideas", "Simulating products",... This year's theme promises a full interesting and challenging journey to Lac Hong robocon teams in particular and Vietnamese students in general.
