Mabuchi Motor Corporation came to LHU to establsih Scholarship Fund

Recently, a delegation from Mabuchi Motor Corporation led by General Manager Shinji Kamei had a working visit to Lac Hong University and made a proposal for setting up a scholarship fund for students.

Mabuchi Motor Corporation's delegation visited and proposed to set up a scholarship fund at the University.

Vice Rector of LHU Lam Thanh Hien, Director of Enterprise Relation and Student Support Center Tran Dung and Head of International Relatrions Dept. Huynh Trung Tam warmly welcame the delegation. Accompanying with the delegation was Mr. Shunichiro Onaka - General Secretary of Mabuchi Motor Scholarship Fund and Mr.  Imamura Tomofumi - General Manager of Mabuchi Motor Vietnam Co.

Chairman of Mabuchi Motor Corporation - the main sponsor of ABU - ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest knows the University mainly via its achievements at Robocon contests.

The working session focused on the deployment of the non interest loan supporting program from student supporting fund of the Corporation and the University. This fund aims at students who wish to study at the University but have difficult circumstances. Each student will be supported to borrow VND one million per month during 4 - 4,5 years as expected. To create best conditions for students to study at the University, these students will receive this support until they finish their study. After three months of graduation, they will begin to pay supported money gradually, equivalent to their study duration. They can pay before prescribed time if they want. “We hope this fund will be maintained and developed rotatively to bring up difficult students' dreams of study at the University. And we wish that the University will welcome our good intention - bringing up talents serving the community together. That is noble and humanly meaning when we construct and develop this fund" said General Secretary of Mabuchi Moto Scholarship Fund Shunichiro Onaka.

Presently, Mabuchi Motor Fund has been applied at some elementary schools in Tien Giang and Dong Nai provinces. At undergraduate level, this program has been used in Ha Noi University of Foreign Trade (in the North), Da Nang University (in the Central) and Lac Hong University (in the South) in the coming time. As a result, this fund has been piloted at the first three universities of the three regions. In the future, there will be some universities selected to develop this fund.

For LHU, the working session has brought a good news that cooperation between the two units has been established, especially difficult students who wish to study at the University.
